Our experience with "Roman" can be summed up into one word - FAMILY. When we first met her, I was 3 months pregnant with my first baby. She was pleasant, sincere, and wanted to get to know about us on a personal level.
In return, her knowledge and professionalism made getting to know her very easy. As my pregnancy progressed, we met and spoke regularly, and she shared videos and information that prepared me for what turned put to be a beautiful pregnancy and delivery.
I felt supported, informed, and ready when I went into labor 8 days before my expected due date. She interacted with the doctors and nurses and made sure I was aware of everything that was going on which minimized any stresses associated with making technical hospital decisions. Her being in the delivery room eased my worries and allowed me to focus on all the techniques that she shared with us.
Our baby boy was born in November 2022, and to this day, Roman is considered family and will always be a part of our lives. If/when we decide to have another baby, Roman will be our doula without question. I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who's committed, authentic, and supportive.
