The Dedicated Doula team is what made my birth experience the most amazing experience I've ever had among my 4 kids. Going into the labor I had a lot of concerns and trauma from past birth experiences and they handed them like a champ. When it came time for me to go into labor which happened multiple times during my pregnancy. In addition they were the backbone I needed when my labor seemed to never go the way I expected, when I was admitted for contractions, but my labor didn't progress. They came every time and stayed without complaint and with a smile each visit. When it was actually go time, they were ready and were so helpful. The pictures they got were stunning. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a doula or even just photography.
Throughout my birth and pregnancy, on the team, Suzanne was a godsend. I remember when she noted my differently shaped belly because of my baby being transverse, and how annoyed I got with all the inversions (planks for pregnant women)she had me do. I'm sure I nagged and complained a lot, as it was a physically taxing pregnancy- and she took it all in stride. She accompanied me to almost every false-but-not-false alarm labor trip to the ER and continually supported me in whatever I wanted/needed at the time, and Suzanne would be my voice when I was too dejected or tired to speak up for myself. When it was actually the day I had my daughter, Suzanne was the best support I could ever had. The way that she recognized my body patterns when I refused to, do to catching me when I fell- LITERALLY as I fainted twice in labor, was so important to me. Especially when my partner had to leave to watch the other kids, so he couldn't be there to support me during my short labor. I'd recommend Suzanne a thousand times over and choose her again if fate ever decided I needed more kids. Suzanne was one of my biggest strengths during my pregnancy and birth and I couldn't thank her enough.
