Barbie is an amazing doula that helped me and my husband through our first pregnancy. Aside from being there for the actual labor and delivery, she met us twice beforehand to help us put together a birth plan, answer questions, and give us helpful tips to prepare for the big day. Her personality made it so that we felt at ease immediately upon meeting her and that continued throughout the whole pregnancy and postpartum.
Her calming energy, insights, and presence in general were invaluable on delivery day. She was even on limited sleep because of a delivery she attended hours before ours and you wouldn't even know it! She walked me through many different pushing positions to try to coax the baby out and supported us with all the decisions we had to make throughout that day. Post-birth was amazing as well as she helped with initial bonding and breastfeeding. And somehow through all of that, she took some really great photos and captured the whole day of events in detail for us to remember the day in the future.
