Suzanne was absolutely incredible! We met Cari and Suzanne in our home and had a lengthy discussion about our birth wishes, what to expect, how to prepare and more which was incredibly helpful for us as firsth time parents. Suzanne was the one present for our birth. We texted her the night before when labor started and then again the next morning when we headed into the birth center. She was able to meet us at the birth center and was there with us the rest of the day. She was incredibly helpful sith suggestions to get things moving and then different labor positions when things continued to progress. The most vaulable thing for me, as the laboring person, was that she relayed my wishes to the team and was able to help communicate what had been comfortable for me and what wasn't. She also did an amazing job of asking questions and helping us get information when I experienced a hemorage post partum. Suzanne was reassuring and stayed with us through the transfer to the hospital and more. My husband said later that while he feels his instincts would have been good for the labor, it was great going in prepared and having someone else there to help guide and advise.
