Testimonial for Dara DeSoto
My wife and I were pregnant with our first child when we hired Dara. Before he was even born Dara had already come to our house to help us prepare for a child. Having no idea what to expect, she taught us everything we needed to know. Even now, 6 weeks later, we find ourselves thinking “remember what Dara said about this…” The morning my wife and I decided was the right time to head to the hospital, 7 am Dara was at the door ready to send us off and help us get all the things packed in the car.
When we returned home a few days later, there she was waiting to escort us in the door and get settled in. The first few days getting used to a new baby were pretty rough and I found myself thinking “I can’t wait for Dara to get back so she can tell us what to do.”
Having Dara as our guide was a blessing. Her knowledge of infants and recovering moms was extremely reassuring. And just to have her extra hands around the house to clean dishes and cook food was something I didn’t think we would need until the time came. Having a doula was helpful but Dara made the experience something we won’t soon forget.
