She is known as “Dara the Doula” in San Diego (and beyond) but this name only touches the surface of all that Dara is and offers. I truly can’t imagine my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey without Dara. Dara has become part of our family during the most important season of our life. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes her role very seriously while bringing peace and enjoyment to every interaction. She armors and serves not only the mother and baby, but the mother’s partner so well - she is there for the entire family. It was a joy watching Dara and my husband work together and take care of me when I was recovering after my c-section. There are so many remarkable things about Dara, but one of my favorites is how she always encouraged me to not lead with fear and to lean into my confidence as a mother. My biggest piece of advice to all growing families is to hire Dara… every mother and baby deserves the honor of working with Dara.
