Hiring Barbie was the best decision we made! Her calming demeanor and attitude were a welcome presence in the birthing center. The support during and after our pregnancy journey was extremely helpful in calming our nerves especially because we didn’t know what to expect becoming first time parents. When I went into labor a few days early, Barbie was easy to communicate. And although she was at another client’s birth when I was admitted into the hospital, she kept in touch and gave the option of having another doula come until she could make it. Barbie came to the hospital just in time for the end of labor and the delivery! It was helpful having the extra support and voice in the room- suggesting position changes, giving guidance with breathing through contractions and helping keep me comfortable. And as an added bonus she took beautiful pictures that we’ll forever treasure of the delivery of our daughter!
