Because of the informational meetings beforehand, I knew the stages of labor, medical terms, tools, positions, etc. which helped take some of the shock away. She calmly took the lead with suggestions, positioning, coping skills, and supported my husband to do the same. We also greatly appreciated how she communicated with our medical team and advocated for our birth plan multiple times.
