I truly believe in my heart that Suzie was the reason why my birth turned out exactly how I had hoped it would. It began with a couple days of prodromal labor, where she kept my mindset positive and guided me through exercises to help progress labor. Once in active labor, she never left my side and talked me through every contraction. She created the most beautiful setting as I labored in the tub. In the height of the intensity, at the times I didn't think I could do it, I heard Suzie's voice, calm and encouraging. Hours after my son was born and my husband and I got to process things, we both agreed how amazing Suzie was. Her advocacy and support are what got me through and I will always be forever grateful for her as my doula.
