I was scared about having my first child. My father had passed away just weeks before and I was worried about giving birth. My body responded in kind, I was two weeks overdue and my body refused to dilate. Even while I was in labour, I suffered through terrible cramps that made it insufferable to push my baby out. Thought this entire time Rita was by my side. She demonstrated empathy and positivity; she set my mind at ease during a very stressful time. She massaged me when my body cramped, and with great thanks to her, I was able to give birth naturally. Furthermore, I was in the hospital during a very busy time and was often overlooked by the staff. Rita advocated on my behalf, and ensured I was well taken care of.
