My experience with Sage as my doula was incredible! She went up, over and beyond for me and my birth experience. Having her present at my big day gave me a since of 'I can do this'! She arrived promptly after I called her and was super calm, collected and professional. She immediately jumped in and started to help me with my pain management. When things were getting unbearable, she suggested we move to the bath and it was the best thing for me in that moment. She proceeded to cheer me on, and validate my power. It truly was a better experience because of her presence! She even serenaded me with her gorgeous singing voice!! I will forever be grateful for all she did for me in those most precious moments.
Sage also was an advocate for me by relaying information about my needs to the doctors. I was in no place to remember to ask for certain things such as delayed cord clamping, but Sage was on it! She stuck around to make sure baby and I were OK and took some of the most magical pictures that I would not have had if she was not there. She also took my placenta for encapsulation and tincturing. She had it ready to go for me within just a few days. Sage also took pictures and videos to share with me about her processing my placenta. I thought this was very sweet of her to keep me in the loop.
I also got to experience Sage as my postpartum doula. She jumped in and did chores around the house and listened to my story, even though she was there for it all. She helped with diaper changes so I could eat and have some time to myself. I also received full body massage with infused herbal oils. She also checked in on me periodically via text, and told me to contact her at anytime. Sage is truly amazing and I highly recommend her as your doula!
