I am so happy I chose Britni to be my birth doula! She helped me prepare for my home birth by meeting with me several times and sending me many helpful resources. She even helped us prepare for cloth diapering our baby by sharing her knowledge from cloth diapering her children. She was always available for questions or support before and after birth.
I had an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced Midwife so I initially wasn't sure that I needed a doula, but now I can say that having Britni there at my birth was definitely worth it! She coached me with gentle words and reassurance through every contraction and helped me to relax deeper between each one. When I began to doubt myself, she gave me the courage I needed. She guided me through position changes that were necessary to get my baby into a better position.
Once my baby was here, she contacted my lactation consultant, newborn photographer, and took my placenta to be encapsulated. She checked in with me several times during those wonderful and difficult first weeks to make sure I was recovering well physically and emotionally.
Overall, I can say with confidence that you won't regret having Britni as your doula! My birth experience was a wonderful one I will cherish forever thanks to the amazing support team I had.
