Carli was an incredible asset to our first son’s birth day. My wife was in the hospital for 24 hours before the birth. It was a long day. Carli was a strong presence and helpful guide. About each hour she suggested a new task, which helped keep the day and process moving forward. She was a source of optimism and relief, knowledge and confidence, and just an overall stabilizing force in the room. She promoted our interests and preferences in the hospital room. All day, Carli was one step ahead and anticipated the most likely next phase of the day.
Between the work of my wife, Carli, the nurses, and our midwife, I have an enlightened respect for the energy, power, and intuition that women and mothers have. Aside from the obvious joy of welcoming my son to the world, it was a powerful experience to be in the room with this community of women. My wife and I will certainly be calling Carli for our next births.
