Testimonial for Joli Ammons
Joli was my doula for both of my children in 2020 & 2022. My first child was born in May 2020 and at that time only one support person was allowed so unfortunately she wasn't able to be there for the first birth but still provided information and support prior to, during and postpartum.
I am of advanced maternal age so although it had only been 18 months between pregnancies it was much more difficult the second time around. My labor was induced, fast and significantly more painful than my first. (I chose to decline pain medication for both births.) Having Joli present for this birth was a necessity. I did not get any relief between contractions and was nauseous the entire labor. Joli applied counter pressure during contractions which helped greatly and diffused essential oils which provided a lot of comfort and eased the nausea. Joli helped to keep me focused on breathing and trusting my body throughout the labor. I don't know how I would have gotten through the labor without her additional support.
Joli has so much knowledge and has a referral for every need. She was available whenever I had questions or concerns throughout pregnancy and postpartum. She is truly non biased and respectful of your decisions and personal beliefs. ??????????
