We were so lucky to have Lisa as our postpartum doula, giving us reprieve in the wee hours the night and supporting me in the day as I tried to find balance in the new normal of parenthood. I trusted Lisa completely to care for and love on our daughter. She was responsive without being intimidating, shared her knowledge while taking into consideration our wishes and backgrounds, and made me confident in tackling my new role. As a fun and welcome bonus, she also brainstormed meals with me, grocery shopped, and prepared us food! Without family in town, it was such a treat to feel taken care of. She also befriended our dog, who wasn't getting as much attention with a new baby. He'd watch out the window for her and excitedly await the treat she always brought him.
