I had never considered a doula for my first birth because I really wasn't familiar with them and I thought my experience would just be a normal birth, with no complications, and certainly never expected an unplanned c-section. Boy was I wrong! So I knew when I got pregnant with my second baby, I wanted a completely different experience. Step 1, find a rockstar midwife, step 2: find a doula that I felt safe with and someone with a lot of knowledge. I truly thank God for leading me to Melissa. Her good energy and passion for helping mothers, especially VBAC mothers, is what sold me. I've never felt more supported in my life than during the pregnancy and birth of my daughter and it's because of amazing women like Melissa. She knew exactly how to support me and and my husband. I am forever grateful for her and I can't wait to tell my daughter all about the women who helped bring her into the world. She is truly changing the birthing world for the better!
