We had the pleasure of working with Liz as our doula for the birth of our first child. We immediately felt at ease with her as we had many questions and nerves to battle. We appreciated her evidence-based approach in providing us information - it can be overwhelming to sort through online and Liz distilled things for us in a simple manner. We enjoyed the home visits where we openly discussed our goals and feelings. She was extremely easy to speak with and actively listened to us, never judging, and helped bring differing opinions together. In fact, we could spend hours just talking! In the end, we ended up having a C-section, and we had to pivot to a new mindset for surgery, to which Liz helped prepare us for. And although she was not in the delivery with us, she took the time to meet us after recovery. Our post partum visits were especially helpful as any first time parents experience a myriad of changes in lifestyle, and we were able to put many aspects into perspective.
