If I could say a person was an angel, it would be Alaina. Her compassion, dedication, and love for birth are just incredible. Alaina prepared me well before birth. I went into my labor feeling strong, empowered, and ready. She provided me with so much information, from podcasts to YouTube videos, to articles and more. I love how well-informed she is on everything birth. During labor, she was the best supporter. Words can’t even describe how amazing she was. Through every contraction and every ounce of discomfort, she was there with encouraging words, techniques, and distractions. She set up my room with candles and essential oils which was incredible. She used different positions, a birth ball, a rebozo, the whole nine yards! It was so awesome! I truly enjoyed my labor, and I cherished every contraction and all of the intensity thanks to Alaina. I learned so much about my body and what it can do, and get through! The pain management I learned has carried into my recovery as well. I feel so much stronger mentally. My second little girl arrived into the world and Alaina was there for it all. She visited me the next day in the hospital, with handmade gifts and a basket of goodies. She even walked down and visited my daughter in the NICU with us. Alaina has become so much more than a doula to our family. Without her, I wouldn’t have been in the right place at the right time. Thanks to her education about local hospitals, VBAC success stats, and more, my daughter and I are alive and healthy. I feel like I owe her my life. I could rave on and on about Alaina’s doula work, and I will until the end of time. She truly cares about the birth experience, mom and baby, and making sure your birth is more than what you ever imagined it could be! I never thought I’d be a person to say I loved my labor but thanks to her I am. I would HIGHLY recommend Alaina as a doula! You will not regret hiring this beautiful human to attend such an important event!
