We hired Nicole as our doula to give us the best chance of success with a vaginal birth. Unfortunately, baby was in the breech position from 28 weeks on and would not flip! We attempted several Spinning Babies exercises from Nicole, but it wasn't meant to be. At 36 weeks we had a few desicions to make and Nicole was super helpful to talk through these things with and process it all. Thankfully we were able to grow baby until 39.5 weeks! Due to the breech position we scheduled a planned c-section for 2/27. Prior to the birth, Nicole was super helpful talking through some of our top items like breastfeeding and how the c-section might look. The mental preparation helped lower my stress level when it came time for baby to be born. During the c-section, Nicole was able to be in the OR with my husband and I and she was very supportive during the experience. She provided comfort measures to me and lots of words of affirmation. She helped me get the care I needed for the surgery! The delivery went super smooth which was amazing and then we met our baby boy! Shortly after the delivery Nicole helped me start breastfeeding which was great since we didn't see a lacatation consultant until later. Nicole had so much knowledge related to child birth but was also knowledgeable about other experts outside her own area like breastfeeding and bodywork. We found some really great support from her referrals. It was amazing to have Nicole on our team and we hope to need her services again in the future.
