Joli is so amazing that I don't know if my words could possibly come close. She is equal parts genuine love and incredible badassery. She makes you feel like you can do anything, while being very diligent about leading with questions to facilitate your birth just the way you imagine it, never judging. She answers questions via text any time and makes sure you have as many tools in your tool chest as possible. Meeting with Joli on a regular basis felt like catching up with a friend and was truly cathartic for me, as a pregnant person still mourning and processing losses. I ended up going into labor the morning after Joli had a serious personal emergency, and I was shocked when she said she could still attend my birth. She was there every step of the way, always a step ahead of what I needed. She made sure I ate; she anticipated my nausea; and knew when I needed more physical support and when I needed her to take a step back. Before, during, and after my birth, I felt so supported, cared for, and important. She even sent out an SOS for donor milk for me when I ended up in the ER for postpartum preeclampsia--in the middle of the Delta wave of Covid--2 days after my son was born. She offered recommendations and guidance for breastfeeding and beyond. I never felt alone once Joli was on my team. Just hire her already!
