I hired Marcia for the birth of my first child on 2/9/23. From the start, she was always available whenever I had questions and extremely knowledgeable and helpful- giving me links and resources for a variety of concers.
I chose a hospital birth. She met me at the hospital, was present for the entire labor and delivery, advocated for my birth plan preferences throughout the labor and delivery, coached and guided me through labor - encouraging frequent positions changes and pushing techniques, - helped me breastfeed immediately afterwards.
During the labor, things were not progressing despite several hours of pushing. When the doctor gave me my options, I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do.
Marcia was right there - objective, positive and upbeat. She helped me start and use several different positions and other techniques.
Within a couple hours of these interventions, the situation had completely changed for the good and my beautiful, healthy baby boy was born a few hours later!
Marcia helped me achieve my dream of a unmedicated, vaginal delivery and I am forever grateful!
