Joli is one of the only people I know that I believe has actually found their calling in life. I say this because I don’t know anyone who is as good and as passionate at what they do as Joli. I used her for the second time this past November and had a wonderful experience. She was there for me to text or call when I was feeling off and had great suggestions, tips and tricks for allllllll the fun pregnancy related things I experienced. I really liked that she had homeopathic suggestions for almost everything. I always felt supported by her and I knew that she was going to be there for us when we needed her. My husband enjoyed working with her, too, and for both births he was liaising with her throughout the birth day as I was focusing on the induction. We opted to have Joli just come for support during the active labor portion of our births but she often spends long hours in hospitals and homes if that is the preference of the couple on the day of the birth. Of course, she was on hand for constant updates, questions and suggestions while we were waiting for the labor to pick up in the hospital (and only a 10 min drive away just in case things went quickly… which they did!). I had both my children with no epidural but had to have inductions with both because of a medication I was on and she was right there for me during both births (and all of the post birth fun…) to get me through the intensity of it all. Joli was there for postpartum support and also hosts a wonderful postpartum support group for new moms at her office in Spring. I can’t express to you how kind, fun, intelligent and supportive Joli was as a Doula. It was the best decision I made for BOTH of my births to have her there – if you’re on the fence go with it, you won’t regret it!
