I have been wanting to do a natural birth ever since I was little but I always was intimidated by how scary labor sounds when people talked about it. They always go "take the epidural", "you'd die if you do natural birth". The issue is I have endometriosis and the most prominent symptom is chronic back pain and those same women would complain about their back pain getting worse after the epidural. When I was introduced to Jahlisa, I knew it was faith to do natural birth. She just connected with me on such a spiritual and emotional level. She acknowledged my wants and my goals and she stuck by me all throughout even til today and my son is 3 months old. Her technique of massages and exercises help turn my baby face from facing my pelvis to my spine. I felt safe and empowered by her and I know for a fact that if I do get pregnant again, I know who my doula will be. I strongly believe that I wouldn't have been able to do it without her help.
