Liz was amazing. I had a difficult and traumatic first birth where it felt like I had no agency in the process, so working with a doula the second time around was a must. I'm so glad I found Liz. She helped me work through some of my issues with my last birth and build up my confidence for this one. She provided so many resources and so much advice and was available to answer questions. After just a few weeks of talking to Liz and using some of the resources she recommended, I felt extremely calm and confident going into this birth. During my actual labor, she was the best coach. She helped me find lots of movement to ease discomfort and we were able to find some good positions to turn my baby (who wasn't facing the right way when labor started). She made sure I had what I needed at all times and was a great source of strength and comfort during the transition stage. When it finally came time to push, my baby came out so fast that if Liz hadn't had the foresight to run into the hall and grab a nurse, there would have been no one to catch my baby! If I have another child I will definitely work with Liz again - she was a friend, a coach, and a great resource. With her help I was able to have a really empowering natural birth, which is both exactly what I wanted and (the empowering part especially) exactly what I needed to find some closure after my last birth. I am forever grateful to her. I would 100% recommend any mom reach out to her.
