Hilary was an amazing source of knowledge and support for my husband and I. We hired Hilary to support us through the birth of our first child. I was initially hesitant about hiring a doula because it looked like I'd need a C-section. After getting the all clear for a vaginal delivery, we decided a doula would be a good option for us. As it turns out, I needed an emergency C-section. My birth ended up being so far removed from the birth plan I'd written, but the one constant was Hilary. Having her there with us allowed us to focus on the birth of our child and not how it was happening. She kept both of us calm and explained what was happening when the medical staff couldn't. She definitely proved me wrong about needing a doula for a C-section! She continued to support us after birth with additional visits, frequent check-ins, and additional support. We're so grateful we had Hilary as we entered this next chapter of our lives.
