My partner and I decided to hire Barbie for the birth of our first baby and we are so thankful we did! I had always been afraid of giving birth, but Barbie was able to guide us in a way that helped me educate and prep myself for birth in a positive way. She met with us twice before the birth and gave us tons of information (we wrote so many notes!) She recommended a birth class that was seriously life changing. When it was time to give birth, there were many things that didn't go according to my "plan" or what I expected of my birth. I truly believe that if it wasn't for Barbie, I may have had a traumatic birth experience. But instead, during the super scary moments of my birth, Barbie was there, always encouraging and patient. She did a great job recommending different pain mangement techniques and giving me her feedback to help me and my partner make medical decisions in each moment. It seemed like she knew all the doctors and nurses in the hospital, so I felt like she was a great advocate. It was wonderful to share such a momentous family experience with Barbie, and we'll always remember her presence and help as part of our happy birth story!
