My husband and I decided to hire a doula early on in my pregnancy because we knew that we would both like extra support in navigating through as first time parents. As a plus sized person with a history of medical trauma, I was very anxious about navigating through pregnancy. Amber was an amazing resource for both my husband and I and was always available to us for questions. My induction ended up being very long and it was so helpful to have Amber on call to support us and navigate through. I had also had a very difficult time postpartum and Amber was available to me for questions and advice and continued to check-in with us after the birth.
