Barbie French: Having her by my side for the birth of my second child made the experience an enjoyable, less stressful and exciting one. The knowledge and support she provided me helped me to feel confident and empowered while delivering in a large hospital setting. I knew what I wanted and I wasn’t bullied by the hospital staff to do it “their” way. She spent so much time with us prior to my birth to prepare my husband and I, teach us things we didn’t know and support us along the way. She helped to prepare my body, my mind as well as my family’s transition to a family of four. I was two weeks late with my second and she helped me navigate through that difficult waiting period and was “My Person” throughout all of it. Additionally our postpartum session helped both my husband and I to better understand the healing process which ultimately helped my family and I design a recovery plan, something so important to us mothers! The experience I had with Barbie was amazing and I highly recommend anyone having a baby to bring a birth doula with you! You won’t regret it!
