Leslie has been a great help to our family during my first month of postpartum. I have a toddler at home who was learning the concept of siblings and needs attention. Leslie would play with him while managed to take care of my newborn. My 3-year-old often asked where Leslie was because he loved playing with her!
I feel absolute relieved whenever she comes in. Leslie is patient and listens to our needs. Like many new parents, my partner and I struggled with understanding the newborn cries (gas, hunger, tiredness, etc). Leslie shared tips and observed the baby based on my concerns. Leslie always tried to help in any way she could: doing dishes, laundry, pre-assembling pump parts for my midnight pumping sessions, making meals. These are so needed as I was recovering from C-section.
In all, Leslie is a great asset to a family as a doula.
