Bailey has been an amazing friend since nursing school, and as hard as it may have been, she was so determined to be such a great mother through the whole thing. I remember the sound of her pump while we were in class and it stuck with me, reminding me as hard as life gets, you can do it all momma, you are invincible. And to this day she is an amazing mother and a huge example for me.
Bailey had been such a great support person since the beginning of my pregnancy. We actually discussed the doula talk together and she was so passionate about it since then. I knew she'd be great at it and I am so proud of her making this step in her life.
Me being a first time mom and having almost zero experience with motherhood, I needed all the help I could get and Bailey was exactly that person I never knew I needed. She was always so readily available to help whenever I needed her or asked her things, and Bailey always gave her BEST and HONEST advice. She also did not want her own choices to influence my own but was open to sharing her own opinions and experiences while giving resources why she did things the way she did(as I did ask). She also made sure to talk to me much prior to birth, to get any questions answered, which we had a very good meeting where we discussed great info about vaccines, and birth plans etc. I think that helped calm my nerves because I had zero idea what I was getting myself into.
Postpartum Bailey never left my side, she was there still answering all my questions and giving the best advice. I felt like I was not doing enough for my newborn, but Bailey always reminded me that what I was doing was exactly was my newborn needed. She made me feel safe, comfortable and like I was enough. To this day if I ask Bailey something she is always ready to answer and I appreciate her so much through this whole journey.
