I was beyond blessed to have Mrs Deanna as my dula. I really couldn't have gone through labor without her. Mrs Deanna was by my side every step of the way, from having Braxton Hicks contraptions to real labor contraption. She made me felt safe, heard, and seen. During the most painful contraptions Mrs Deanna encourages me to squat, switch positions, she spoke words of encouragement and reassurance, rubs my back, massage my waist and hips, made me laugh and even through the hardest squeezes Mrs Deanna never let go of my hands. She answered every single question I had and translated everything the doctors and nurses were saying and doing. Through waiting for the arrival of my son, I formed a personal connection with Mrs Deanna from telling her about my backgrounds to squeezing her hands I felt like I wasn't alone. Mrs Deanna exceeded every single expectations I had and more, she made sure all my labor requests were met, she answered any questions the nurses asked she was truly my voice when I was in too much pain to speak. I am now two weeks postpartum and Mrs Deanna is the first person I go to when I have questions, doubts, concerns about my precious newborn. I am truly grateful and beyond blessed to have had the absolute best dula and friend through this new journey of my life.
