Heidi was our doula for the birth of our first son and I am certain we would have had a very different birth experience had it not been for her. We took all the classes, read the books but there are so many aspects of birth that really benefit from having a calm expert in the room- and Heidi is absolutely the person you want. As just one example of her influence- we checked into the hospital and based on our desire for a natural birth the doctor suggested we go walk around to speed up labor. If it had been just my husband and I we would have leisurely strolled around the block (which probably wouldn't have helped), but Heidi had me walking up and down hills, doing cat/cow in the hospital lobby and upon re-evaluation had made significant progress. She was a great advocate for us and was very patient and understanding throughout our very long labor! Heidi has a very down-to-earth nature and approach to childbirth, she is very practical and pragmatic all key attributes we were looking for. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a doula!
