Brenlie was the very best doula I could ever have hoped for. She is very evidence based in her information, and very covid safe.
She was also very responsive to texts throughout my whole pregnancy. Each time I had a question or worry, she would text me or call me back very quickly and let me know her thoughts, always letting me know if the issue was outside her scope and if I should also seek help from my midwife.
When I went into labor, Brenlie was quickly at my side and served as a wonderful advocate for both me and my husband. While at the hospital, she set up beautiful flameless candles and put on music, brought me homemade treats and fed them to me throughout the day, and offered me water. She was so attentive even to my husband, who she also made sure was comfortable when we all took a rest, which was heart warming. She taught me to always be an advocate for myself and what I needed, and to seek information and make informed decisions about any choices I needed to make. She offered valuable advice about positioning when my water wouldn't break before pushing, and it worked within minutes!
Brenlie documented our whole process (with our consent), and shared them with us in a video that still makes me cry when I watch. She was like having a warm, knowledgeable and caring mom right next to me holding my hand and making me feel safe the whole time. A few days later, she came to visit us in our home and brought my baby a beautiful onesie and a home cooked meal. She recapped our pregnancy and birth with incredible detail and answered our questions. A month later, she checked in on us again and brought us home made body butter for my baby that she whipped herself, and taught us how to do infant massage. I will absolutely recommend her to everyone I know. Miss you Brenlie, you are fabulous and you were made to be a doula. Continue sharing your warmth and heart ??
