After interviewing a few doulas my husband and I are so grateful that we found Britt to help with the birth of our son. Britt helped us to feel confident and more relaxed during the pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Her down to earth and caring personality was the perfect addition to such a powerful and intimate event. Britt came to our house several times during the pregnancy for a routine check in as well as for birthing/baby care classes. She then was always responsive whenever I had a question/concern and especially once my contractions began. We chose to have her meet us at the hospital and having her there to support our decisions and provide the perfect counter pressure was exactly what I needed. Following the birth she was kind enough to stay by my side while my husband went with my son to the nursery for an evaluation due to increased respiration rate. Having lost our first son halfway through our pregnancy Britt made what would’ve been an extremely difficult situation so much better with her distractions (the snack and drink service was an added bonus). We cannot thank Britt enough and hope to have her by our side in the future!
