Stacy was a great help for the delivery of my first child. I originally wanted to do an unmedicated birth but in the end did opt for an epidural. Being induced the contractions eventually ended up back to back and caused my blood pressure to enter and unsafe level. She was a great support in any decision I made during my birth process and advocated for me when contractions made it hard to speak or move. She helped be that voice for me to speak up when I said I needed to push and the nurse suggested waiting another 15 minutes for baby to move further down. I waited 5 minutes if that and told Stacy I felt it really was ready and she encouraged me to tell the nurse and that I didn't have to wait. I pushed for only 20 minutes and baby was out. Ultimately I knew my body better than any nurse and Stacy was there to remind me of that. Once my daughter was out she did a great job in capturing photos so my husband and I could interact and I could worry about communication with my doctor. Stacy is easy to talk to and can figure out your needs easily without extra direction if you tell her what you're feeling or experiencing. We didn't get to meet face to face until the big day but her presence was calm and comforting. She continued to follow up with me in the days following my birth and also quickly sent over copies of our photos as well.
I highly recommend Stacy for any first time mom or anyone wanting extra help in coping with labor.
