One of the first things we did when I became pregnant was hire a doula. Rollyn was recommended to us by my midwife, and we could not have been happier to work with her! From our first conversation, we appreciated her warm energy and supportive, client-focused approach which put us at ease. She did an excellent job of walking us through what to expect when we arrived at the hospital and talking through a variety of sequences that may occur. She listened carefully to and respected our wishes, and helped advocate for my comfort and care at every step of the journey. Rollyn was an essential member of our birth team, and made an incredible difference throughout the experience. She managed to strike a perfect balance between actively coaching me throughout the labor and delivery process, as well as providing my husband with support as the birth partner. She has excellent communication skills grounded in empathy, compassion, and intuition. We felt empowered and supported throughout the whole experience with Rollyn on our team. She helped create a birth experience in which we felt truly cared for and we are grateful for the guidance and support she provided us. We cannot imagine having done it without her!
