Hire a doula!!!! This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know what to expect. My husband and I were a little hesitant at first about the extra cost, but we are now SOOOOO thankful we hired Kelly to be a part of our journey, one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy! It was worth every penny!!!
Kelly was very attentive to every little detail and so intentional throughout my whole pregnancy and delivery.
Before giving birth, Kelly gave me evidence-based information about labor and delivery so that I could make decisions that were right for me and my baby boy.
She made us feel empowered and helped support and educate BOTH my husband and I through the entire process in pre-labor, labor and postpartum. During our labor, Kelly’s ability to help me regulate, focus on my breathing, and remain calm helped my body to relax and bring my son into the world safely. Her hands-on expertise with techniques such as counter pressure, massage, and recommendations for positioning also helped me feel physically more comfortable without need for additional medical intervention, which was my hopes for delivery. Kelly’s nursing background also gave me the extra peace of mind that I was in good hands! She understood all the medical lingo and was able to explain to me what was going on in the delivery room. I felt well taken care of by Kelly.
We cannot say enough nice things about our experience with her. As my husband said- “we will never do another birth without Kelly!” and we wholeheartedly meant it! Thank you, Kelly!!
