Suzanne was my doula for two of my pregnancies (3rd and 4th) and I’d highly recommend her. If this is your first or you feel like a pro and have had one or more already, you should consider hiring Suzanne. There is so much she offers… a listening ear, moral support, an advocate for your wants and needs during your birthing experience, and help you stay informed during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. An added bonus is the photography Suzanne took during both my deliveries was special.

My experiences with her support were different from each other because of the ways my babies decided to entire this world; yet she managed to perfectly capture the moments, while making sure I got what I needed. With my 3rd child, the delivery was relatively easy, and the delivery room was full of laughter (I couldn’t be happier that she was able to capture that for us). My birthing experience with my 4th child, I’m incredibly thankful I had Suzanne there. The time from our arrival to the hospital to my baby in my arms was an hour. I forgot everything I learned in birthing classes and from previous births. Suzanne helped me focus through the experience. I was terrified. I had no time for an epidural. I was not ready. I’m writing this review 9 weeks after giving birth and I’m still recovering from it physically. She helped me recover from the psychological trauma of that experience happening so quickly (not to mention painfully) and bond with my baby…she was a listening ear about the things that bothered me and provided advise on things I could do that would help with my physical recovery. She helped me feel proud of myself for going through such a difficult experience and didn’t allow me to down play my experience. She was able to figure out what I needed to hear during birth and postpartum to make me feel like I had an incredible experience for both of my birthing experiences under her care.
