Aleca Murphy is an exceptional post partum doula by every measure. Foremost, she is reliable. From the moment she arrives, to the moment she leaves, you feel like you are in good hands. She truly cares about your baby and your family. She is knowledgeable about newborn safety, including how to make formula in a safe manner and how to safely put your baby to sleep. She helps clean up the kitchen and do dishes and baby laundry if that is what is needed by the family. She makes herbal iced tea and fruit salad for my middle-of-the-night and first-thing-in-the-morning pumping sessions. Sleep training is her passion! And who doesn't want more sleep? If our baby -- who sleeps really well -- is any gauge of Aleca's skill, then it would not be a stretch to call Aleca an expert. She knows how to lengthen those sleeping hours as the baby gets older. She has great products to recommend from bottle warmers to sleep sacks. On top of everything she does for our baby and in our home, she coordinates and communicates well with other doulas who might fill in for her when she cannot work. That way you don't have to train them when they walk in the door. Aleca is a star doula!
