During the birthing process, she provides a calm, steady force and turns what is typically an overwhelming and scary process into an empowering one. The fact that nurses and doctors, who have worked with Terri before, breathe a sigh of relief when they realize she is the Doula speaks volumes to not only her skill but herself as a person. So far we've hired her for both of my pregnancies and births and I'm confident in saying that it's one of the best investments we've ever made. If or when we choose to have more children, Terri is the first person we will call to have by our side. As an added bonus she takes photos, writes a birth story individual to each birth, and provides postpartum support. During a time that is wrought with intensity and emotion, it's so nice to have someone there to document the journey so you can look back on it for years to come.
