I'm not even sure where to start with writing about my experience(s) with Kelly. This was my second birth with Kelly and I will start by saying that I COULD NOT have done it without her.
The moment I found out I was pregnant with my second baby, the very first thing I did was call Kelly to let her know we're having another baby. I did not want to chance her not having availability if I waited! I immediately sought her advice on a new provider as mine had retired and I was seeking a completely different birth experience from my first (which was a medical induction).
She presented me with multiple options including home birth, birth center and midwife hospital birth. It's truly incredible how many people she knows in the birth world, her compassion and her knowledge. The quality of Kelly's care and work are unsurpassed.
She was there for me throughout my pregnancy and ultimately made my unmedicated hospital birth with a midwife a reality. While in labor she provided so much guidance and support while also sharing in laughs and stories. Just when I thought I couldn't do something, she reminded me that I absolutely can and I DID! If you are looking for a doula, RUN to your phone and interview Kelly. You will not be disappointed (ask any birth worker in the valley and they'll know and love miss Kelly Sunshine)
