I cannot say enough good things about Joli -- hiring her was the best thing I did for myself during my pregnancy and post-partum period. She was such a support to me (and to my partner, which can not be over-sold!!) as we planned and prepared for labor and I shudder to think about how delivery would have gone had she not been there to council and coach me through the process. Sadly, my journey ended in a c-section, but by the time the verdict was in, I knew we had done everything we could have and I felt satisfied with the 46 hours I labored and proud of myself, to boot! It's easy in the hospital to feel like you have no choices, no agency, and no knowledge -- Joli helped me advocate for myself at every step and, though the delivery didn't go as I had hoped it would, I came out the other end feeling positively about the whole experience. She is a straight-shooter and will tell you what she really thinks (if you ask her to), she has knowledge and experience coming out of her ears, and she will support you warmly and fiercely, whatever it is you want to do. Joli is also just a cool person and a badass lady and I feel lucky to know her!
