Barbie is absolutely wonderful to say the least. She is a mother herself, which makes her empathetic, understanding, and most importantly compassionate. She offers two initial prenatal visits right to your home and during those visits tells you exactly what to expect about pregnancy, the birthing process, breastfeeding, exercises, and so much more! Which was amazing since I am an anxious first time mom! She is thorough and makes you feel comfortable with what you wish to experience. She has been at hundreds of births, which made me trust her completely. She has a neutral standpoint and encourages you to focus on the birth wishes YOU want. She offers support and helps guide you to the BEST possible plan for your personal wishes. My personal birth did NOT go as planned. It happened 3 weeks earlier than expected, my son was breech, and my husband was across the country at the time. Barbie was with me by my side from the moment I called her and she met us in triage, up until I was in the recovery room after my C-section. Not to mention, she was by my head the entire time of my c-section along with my Mom. She was calm, levelheaded, positive, and encouraging and explained exactly what I can expect througout my entire birthing process. It felt so good to have someone with me whom I trusted so much and made me feel calm and comfortable. She is one of the biggest reasons I was able to give birth the night I did. Barbie met us at our home for a post birth meeting and she brought notes of my entire birth experience so my husband could hear everything that happened from start to finish, and incase I forgot anything about the night. It was one of the nicest things anyone has EVER done. Barbie is incredible at what she does. She will always be apart of our son's (and my) birth story! I cannot think of anyone better. We truly cannot recommend her enough. Everyone deserves to have Barbie at their birth!
