As a first time father I wasn't aware of a lot of the ins and outs of having children. My wife told me we were going to hire a Doula, I was unsure about the necessity and value of this in the beginning.
After meeting Barbie I got a great feeling about her and the knowledge she had to offer. While preparing for the birth, she provided quick feedback to answer all of our questions and helped settle our nerves.
The real value however started once we were at the hospital having our son. My wife was induced due to high blood pressure, and this resulted in 3 days of labor followed by an unplanned c-section. During this time Barbie was there to answer all my questions via cell until my wife progressed into active labor. Barbie stayed by my side and gave me guidance in uncharted waters.
There were many twists and turns throughout the whole process, but I was able to be strong for my wife and be knowledgeable for my family thanks to Barbie. We are planning to have another child and I can't wait to work with Barbie again on that journey.
