We chose Marissa as our doula after meeting a few doulas. Our first impression was that Marissa truly uses a trauma informed approach to her care and I felt very safe with her. We are first time parents and truly had no idea what to expect. After the first prenatal visit, I remember thinking that one of the best decisions I made for myself and my future baby was to hire Marissa as our doula. We had so many questions and she spent hours responding each one of them and exploring our birth preferences without pushing us to choose one thing over another.
I had a difficult labor experience that ended being an unplanned C section. When the OB asked whether I wanted a C/S my first reaction was to ask Marissa her opinion. This is how much I trust her with our lives! I cannot recommend her enough!
