I would recommend Heidi to anyone considering a professional labor support person who is calm yet motivating, professional yet warm. She was indispensible in helping us prepare for labor – we had such a better understanding going into the process about how to cope with pain and how my husband could help support me, and when it came time to give birth to Baby N, Heidi was with us from the moment we needed her and provided support not only to myself but to my husband. I could not have done it without her support, and it was because of her encouragement and steady calm in the face of labor that I was able to have a natural birth without pain medication. I have no doubt that without Heidi by my side, I would have opted for an epidural. In addition to being there for me, it was also so important to me that she took care of my husband during the labor and delivery – she knew the opportune moments for him to get some food, or a needed cup of coffee – so that he could come back refreshed and ready to be 100% involved. Her post-partum visits have been incredibly helpful, from breastfeeding advice to general tips that only a mother could provide. Thank you, Heidi, for being there for us before, during, and after our first son’s birth — we are so grateful to have had you as part of our journey.
