I was thrilled with my experience having Enza as my Doula. From the moment we met, I loved her approach and warm, yet confident and energetic presence.
I knew her extensive experience would be invaluable to help me navigate the arrival of my first baby—and it was!
She was a great cheerleader and mentor throughout the process. The pre-natal visits were educational and she really listened to my birth wishes, helping me write a birth plan and even suggesting things I hadn’t thought of.
When I found out the birth center was closing and had to seek other care, she guided me through the decision making process. She also has so many contacts in the community that she was able to make recommendations on where to go for the experience I wanted.
When I went into labor, she was my trusted ally to help me make sure I stuck as closely to my wishes as possible. Enza came and labored at home with me as long as I could handle, before we went to the hospital. She and my partner were by my side supporting me every step of the way, and I was able to go very far into labor without intervention as a result.
She also helped set the vibe I wanted in the space. She brought aromatherapy and candles, along with plastic wine glasses to drink water out of together during the “push party.”
Her support, positivity and calmness during push party was exactly what I was looking for, both for myself and my partners. I’m LGBTQ and she embraced my chosen family and helped us have a truly beautiful experience.
I would absolutely recommend Enza as a Doula and will be calling her again in the future if my family continues to grow!
