Rachel was an incredible asset to our birth team. As soon as we booked her after we had our intro call I immediately felt a calm relief, knowing that we were in good hands. Rachel was patient and thoughtful with all of the questions that my partner and I had pre-birth - even talking through seemingly simple topics like what the ride to the hospital might be like and what to do with our dogs. She never made us feel like any question or thought was too tedious or silly. During our birth at the hospital, Rachel created a calm environment for us - turning down the lights, bringing out a diffuser, massaging or applying pressure as needed, and talking through different medical scenarios as they came up while the nurses and doctors would come a go. In the short-staffed hospital, the nurses seemed grateful for her knowledgeable presence as well. Then at her post-partum visit, Rachel shared numerous resources with us and reflected with us on our birth experience. Overall, having Rachel as our doula allowed my partner and I to feel calm, confident, and supported through the entire birth process. I would absolutely recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a doula!
