My husband and I genuinely cannot recommend Sarah enough as a doula. We had actually been working with another doula throughout our pregnancy, but apparently there were many babies that wanted to be born within a few days, so our original doula was unable to attend our birth. Sarah was our backup doula, and we were truly blessed to have her.
Although we did not have the opportunity to build a relationship with Sarah throughout our pregnancy, Sarah stepped right in and we were so comfortable with her immediately. My labor and delivery was long and difficult, and Sarah was a guiding light for us both- supporting my husband by showing him the best ways he could support me, and the calming presence I needed to find the confidence and strength to push through the hard moments.
Sarah continued to be a wealth of knowledge and huge support for us as we navigated the early days of breastfeeding. She was always willing to answer my questions and even moved up our postpartum visit to support us and ensure a successful start on our feeding journey.
Whenever we look back on the birth of our son, our firstborn, we will always think of Sarah and the positive impact she had on our experience. She holds a special place in our hearts.
