She provided hands-on massage relief for awful back labor, and kept my energy up when I was getting overwhelmed. I had been so, so afraid of caving and getting an epidural after my friend had a bad experience. I had been so scared of tearing. Katie took away all my fear. My birth didn't go exactly to plan, but it worked out beautifully and I owe that in large part to Latie. She is an actual ray of sunshine!
